I had a very disquieting experience once I finished my secret santa and Yuletide fic. I didn't really know what to work on, I didn't feel like working on anything. (Except Electric Flamingo ⚡🦩)

I was inspired to do this in part because of how more manga has a few pages by authors sometimes. Just little things about their life or about publishing/coming up with ideas. Maybe just thanking the reader and asking them to look forward to more.

I probably need to do a few more with both to see what works, but I just don't like how "(click to expand)" looks beside "Thank you for reading". That's probably a very picky and unique problem.

Maybe I can figure out other language to use instead to signal that there's more hidden below the text.

I use them this way for interrupting a sentence with a thought — consistently. Agree with others that using any punctuation for an AI tell is just... unwise. Spaced em-dashes are actually US newspaper standard. I learned that to validate my usage in college fiction classes where un-spaced is taught.
