Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

Remember kids: historically the best hiders didn’t tell the seekers that they’re planning to help the others find good hiding spots. Sometimes they even pretended to help look for them or seemingly sat the game out entirely. And they definitely didn’t talk about it online where it could be flagged.

I left teaching after 16 years and a Master’s degree and tenure.

Missouri is 49th in funding for public schools -- 50th in starting teacher pay. We don’t provide public schools with enough for the basics. The state funds just 32% of schools’ budget --residents must pay for the bulk of their local school budget through property taxes. pv4ps.org/public-schoo...
