Universal is open year-round and the rides, attractions, and lands (for the most part) stay open long-term. But part of the magic of HHN is it’s temporary nature. And that really comes to a head in the final hours of the event. With that being said, can it be August 2025 already?? #HHN

Yes, HHN isn’t going anywhere. It’ll be back next year. But those houses you loved, those scareactors in those roles, that food item, that soundbite, it’s all locked in the realm of memory. You’ll never quite get the same high again. It’ll be there next year, but not in the exact same way. (3)

HHN Closing Night is essentially graduation. You get to make those final memories, with or without close friends or family, you have the triumph of months of hard work coming to a close with each scareactor performance, the lights turn off, and you drive home. It’ll never quite be the same. (2)

I love the score, the costumes, the interactions, the intricate detail on the floats, really everything about Mega Movie and I really hope that we see it again sooner rather than later!

This parade did exactly what I hoped and expected and grew with time, both when it comes to the technical side and the performing side. I think it balances the fun energy of Superstar while also delivering something for fans of classic Universal that hasn’t really been seen for many years.

And the third were the addition of these two floats. For me, getting to see the Ecto-1 really amped up my nostalgia level for Ghostbusters, which was already my favorite. And the raptor float added so much dynamic energy to the finale that I felt was lacking.

The second was just my exposure to Mega Movie. With it running through HHN and me being in the park around the time it debuted every time I was there for Horror Nights, I saw it more and got to see different casts, different interactions, and overall get a greater feel for the parade.

However, I think three main factors really contributed to my love for the parade with the first one being the audio. While it’s still a little strange hearing music out of sync with floats as one unit transitions into another, having it transmitted through speakers really adds to the atmosphere.

I connected more to the “classic” properties being featured and immediately fell in love with the Ghostbusters, JAWS, & Jurassic Park/World units. I really looked at the parade as those three with everything else surrounding it as filler, even though the performers were doing a phenomenal job.

At first, I enjoyed the new parade but wasn’t *in love* with it. I saw it first before they fixed the audio and felt that on top of the technical issues in its opening months, it felt strangely paced and a bit clunky in places.
