Spent last week at Leña Artist Residency on Galiano Island, walking in the woods, watching sea lions, and storyboarding a new picture book.

Reading and dog-earing a collection of Ursula Nordstrom’s letters. She was the publisher and editor-in-chief of juvenile books at Harper & Row from 1940 to 1973.
