Ok, so that was a dramatically different movie than the one i watched last night. It's difficult to compare them, since we know Coppola and Branaugh fought over it. It was more bombastic, it was more dramatic, whereas Del Toro's was intimate and very much a study of both Frankenstein and Adam.

100%. Like Hellboy was comic action, which is a perfectly good genre, and I enjoy the hell out of. This was L I T E R A T U R E in cinematic form.

It's amazing to watch him grow from Hellboy to The Hobbit (despite it's flaws, it had grandiosity), to Pan's Labyrinth, to Shape of water to here.

I just finished A Pirate's Life For Tea today and I'm using an inhuman amount of restraint to not buy the third book before my next paycheck.

It's a cozy fantasy romance that has some really cute puns. I applaud Miss Thorn for the one in the title.
