A rugged looking human wearing a shawl stands at the bottom of the underground's entrance, in a time long before the entrapment of monsterkind. Their inner monologue begins, "For a long while I have live don the outskirts of my people's reach, subsisting on what I could forage and hunt and sleeping inside this small cave." The human continues through the underground, in what will become the ruins in the future, which is now currently a barren cave. In the switch room, a stream flows from cracks in the cave wall where the equivalent aqueduct will eventually be built. The human's inner monologue continues, "The growing sentiment against the other peoples of our land disgusts me. The fear and contempt holds no ground. They are no more a threat than we are." The human reaches what will eventually become the room in the ruins that contains the dummy, but is as of the current moment just a barren cave. It serves as a small living space, containing a makeshift bedspread with a lantern nearby, a training dummy (notably having a different appearance than the dummy of the ruins), and a campfire burning off in a far corner, with a large stone acting as a seat beside it. The human's inner monologue continues, "I fear for the worst. A war may be on the horizon, and only the Angel above could predict the calamity that would befall the earth in all her glory." The human takes a seat on the stone beside their campfire, and their inner monologue continues, "And so, I hide myself away in these caverns. I feel a strange sense of belonging here, as if I have been called to some greater purpose..."
