It's A Lovely Night (For Punching Nazis), featuring Clever Hansel.
I love the 1930s style and joyful tone of this song! (Lyrics in the comments)

This feels like an ominous time to set intentions. Not just because of the new year, but because of its coincidental timing with the Black Moon, which is pretty rare. I am learning how to let go of the things that don't nourish me, and setting intentions for the things I want to bring into my life.

I woke up to a dream this morning where everyone in the US was watching a telecast that was basically a celebration of Unity. Felt like Whoville, with everyone happy and loving each other, even their enemies. Maybe we need a moment like that, but I don't know if we are capable of it.

I lost my sweet Sage on 11/13. It was a sudden case of heart failure, and I had to make a quick decision to euthanize her. It was heartbreaking, but I'm so glad she didn't have to suffer for long. She was probably the sweetest cat I've ever had the privilege of caring for.

I haven't been too active on BlueSky yet. I guess I'm still too addicted to facebook. But learning that Zucker is sucking up to Trump means my days there are probably numbered. I got kitties after my loving elderly cat died, so I guess I'll just post about them until I get back into my art again!

Finally got back into painting last night. I sealed the pastel drawing layer and am now working back into acrylic, which has some metallic glow... I think I need more leaves, and trying to decide if I should include her hands holding a branch towards the bottom of the painting..
