Disunity and petty squabbles have always been the weakness of the "left" in the US and Canada. Unfortunately the loudest voices seem to want everyone to be held to a spotless, and frankly impossible, standard.

Exactly what I've been saying. We're only a few generations into a relatively peaceful existence (at least in the West) and people are already taking it for granted. They think it's normal, when it's actually the result of centuries of policy building, advances in science and technology, etc.

Wishful thinking... as upsetting as it may be, there likely isn't going to be any sort of retribution for Trump and his cult.
