OH MY GOD

Two years and a half ago, I used to try to act as neurotypical as possible. Now I don't give a fuck. I am autistic and adhd. If my favorite character can live happily by unmasking and protecting his peace then so can I.

I'm CONSTANTLY overstimulated. Sometimes it takes me days to recover. So as an autistic person, Alhaitham is a big inspiration to me. I find myself doing the same as him. I establish my boundaries, value my time and effort and leave when necessary, I start to unmask a bit more, etc.

Picturing Kaveh cover Alhaitham's ears, helping him find a quiet place, repairing his headphones when they malfunction, giving him weight or deep pressure in the right places. Imagining those things comforts me a lot.
