Visa and Mastercard now say you can't pay for WoW. Magic the Gathering. FFXIV. DnD. Lord of the Rings. Because they're all "adult" content against their ToS just for being "fantasy".

Woke up to quite the update on this. I had been in contact with Payment Cloud about getting their service and they waited until now to hit me with the image below. Again, stringing me along instead of being upfront. They had seen my website multiple times before this.

Source identifiers are used to track your activity on a site. Where you came from, what device you use, and even who you talk to. Whether it's written clearly in the url or tied to a random string of characters, it's assigned to your activity. When you send a link containing a source identifier to somebody and they click it, it signals to the website that you two are connected. And that data goes right back to the website operators, and thus their advertisers. Whenever you select "share" or "copy link" on a social app or website, it creates a link like this. If you give even the smallest shit about online privacy, it's important to remove them. Everything after the "?" symbol can be removed without issue, especially sections starting with "si=" or "utm_source="

It's becoming increasingly obvious that the internet we've had for the past 30 years is being actively dismantled.

We need to start taking proactive action to protect data and lines of communications on websites that haven't been affected yet, before they are.

"Stripe has a policy against commenting on users. Generally speaking, we take action when we conclude that users violate our terms of service. We do not support adult content."

Do NOT engage in harassment back 2) Request to speak to a supervisor 3) If they refuse or hung up on you, call back and *immediately* escalate to a supervisor 4) Put in a complaint of the behavior (script below) 5) Afterwards *or* if they refuse to take your complaint, submit a BBB complaint (script below) Call Center Abuse Complaint: Hello, I'm calling to submit an official complaint about abuse I received from a call center representative today. I called at (time) and spoke with (name, if you know it). Their behavior was beyond inappropriate. The representative said (provide details). Once finished submitting that complaint, tell them you would still like to file the initial complaint you called about. BBB script: I'm filing a complaint in regards to their conduct when I called in to inquire about the situation between them and several gaming platforms. Upon mentioning the nature of my call the representative on the phone was exceptionally rude to me. They (insert details here). This sort of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. This should not be how they treat their customers. BBB script pt 2 (what you're looking for them to do in response): I would like a formal apology, my initial complaint to be processed, and the company to re-train their call center staff to prevent such occurrences in the future.
