I'm sharing this update with a heavy heart. Due to a pause in foreign aid funding resulting from an executive order, my contract with @aphl.org —supporting the development of infectious disease genomic surveillance and advanced molecular detection across Southeast Asia—has been terminated.

It's with great sadness that we share that APHL’s global health program had to stop work temporarily. Our colleagues are like family, and we are grateful for their dedication over many years. Taking time to process this news is natural; we will then resume our work to protect the public’s health.

Speaking from a global public health point of view, this is a really really bad time for all of this to be happening all at once.

I've been supporting the CDC to expand genomic surveillance capacity in Vietnam for 18 months now and never realized that my face made an appearance on the web page for the CDC's Division of Global Health Protection! So honored to represent APHL and be part of this exciting project. lnkd.in/gmC9KaXC

Hi #ClinMicro folks. Does anyone know of a #starterpack for our peeps? I've got most of the ID Docs and some microbiologists but I wanted to connect with some of us clinical and public health micro who just relocated. Thanks!
