I pay an extra 60p whenever I borrow a book from our library because I'm forever late returning them 😁🤦

I think a lot of them were, but quirks of fate that meant the Willoughby records survived. It's largely down to Cassandra Willoughby. She wrote a history of the family in the early 1700s and focused on personal and social details. No doubt she helped preserve these records.
