This is a return of the Bernie coalition, a progressive tea party, the counter-revolution to Trumpism that America has been waiting for. It is the rebirth of the Bernie Sanders movement, but more mature, more local, and more dangerous to the ruling order.

United by the twin forces of economic precarity and moral disgust at the entitlement of the very rich, this coalition has found its voice. In the heart of global capitalism, the language of socialism no longer sounds foreign. It sounds like common sense.
