Perhaps it already happened under the table, and that would explain the random 1.3M GAM in that MTL-MIA trade in 2023.

As for others, best guess is the HG status ends if player completes full transfer out of league (Vines) or reaches free agency (Omir), but continues if signs new contract with original team or if traded on an existing contract and then re-signs w new team.

Yes I’d imagine they have not prioritized paying someone to keep this info accurate. Which sucks for sickos.

Is is possible Harris “graduated” from GA status? That used to be a thing. And I think MLS at one point said GA was for 3 years and Harris already played 4 seasons.
