Ugh I cant believe even a fraction of that huge amount couldn't be reserved for tricouncil to support those already here and our trainees with stable increase each year vs 2% cut. I remember a nice table of hundreds of millions planned to increase tricouncil years back from Trudeau 🤦‍♀️

Yes so many grants in 1 panel but someone needs to be checking for those with 2 top & 1 bottom ranking for more detailed comments if some not willing to rescue. I think 1 main issue is Zoom fatigue though if 3 full days where stuff streamlined on fly or if somewhat close but still not given SO notes

I still wish there was a bit more guidance or an eg. vs their template as of now listing 1.2.3. with headings as just so wide open what is possible & as mentioned harder to compare. I made 1, & even among our application group, each one was so different..good that still DORA principle focus

Depends on the CIHR staff I guess too if they are all stationed in Ottawa?

Agree some reviewers may not be able to travel those extra few days with other responsibilities (family, teaching etc) and we dont want to lose those further away like you mentioned if needs to be in Ottawa. BUT there is no doubt in person better discussions & other networking benefits!
