#AskAnAuthor - day 21

I always leave a paragraph unfinished - so when I pick it up and instantly write even if I don't know what is coming next. After polishing up a few sentences my brain is warmed up and in the zone - the stress from the thought of staring at a blank page has gone away.
2️⃣1️⃣ What’s a writing habit or routine you’ve developed that you swear by?
Early mornings? Late nights? Sprints? Daily word counts? Share what keeps you on track!

Repost with your answer and tag #AskAnAuthor so others can find it! Don’t forget to like and share to keep the conversation going. ✨

#loveyourpetday. Here's Teddy - can't say I was loving him at 4am, as he meowed away at full volume. Cutely snoring right now though which is melting my heart.

#askanauthor - day 17.

I leave what I'm struggling with for a few days.I show up at my desk but write something else instead (like a blog) for a while. I hold onto the hope that flashes of inspiration will come from nowhere - they usually do. You have to switch off to be switched on.
1️⃣7️⃣ When the words aren’t coming, what’s your go-to method for getting back on track?
We all hit rough patches—what’s your best trick for breaking through?

#AskAnAuthor day 15 - is there a point at which Amazon Ads starts to get easier such that sales flood in?

I feel like I've sold my soul to the devil for no reason!

Its so hard trying to promote one book and write the other - the energy from sales boosts the energy I have to write.
1️⃣5️⃣ Your turn!

What’s a question you want to ask the community? Let’s get interactive.

Interviewing is a big part of book research. Today, I talked to an inventor about #collaboration. For three hours, we talked about the factors influencing the outcome and success #researching #writing #inspiringstuff— truly happy that my hand aches and my head is about to explode!

#AskAnAuthor - day 14.

I had every confidence in my first book and knew I wasn't an imposter as it was a subject I knew well. My current fear as I work on book number 2 (same subject different angle) is that it won't be as good as the first or have the strength to draw people in.

Writing letters and posting cards seems to be a dying art, but it I write to someone I know every week. I love writing; it's good for the soul. I also love receiving letters through the post. There is joy in each communication, no matter how short the message is. Who will you be #writing to?

Today is #WorldReadAloudDay, a day to celebrate the power of reading aloud and its physiological and cognitive benefits, such as increasing blood flow to the brain and improving memory.

Reading aloud helps me imagine how others read my work and explore the potential differences if read silently.

Dr. Whiting, that’s such a powerful and timely concept! True professionalism is more than just a title—it’s about integrity, consistency, and the way we treat others. I love that your book tackles this. Can’t wait to see the insights you bring to the table! 👏
