There was a nice moment in the late '00s and early '10s, after people stopped getting upset about "Political Correctness" but before they started getting worked up about "Wokeness", where the philosophy was just, "Don't be an asshole". It seems like a message we can all get behind.

There are no good billionaires, even Steve Cohen. He's going to try to money his way out of this, because any other solution would challenge the notion that he contributes anything to society other than being a wealth hoarder.

One is child abuse, one is child abuse + misogyny. If the child looks enough like a woman, harming and objectifying her becomes okay.
One is abnormal psych / mental illness, the other is tacitly encouraged by society. If we want to protect teens, we need to stop fetishizing youth.

Both sides decided that catching/dying of COVID was a moral failing. On the right, you were giving credence to a "fake" virus. On the left, people who got sick somehow "deserved" it, either by not masking or not following the guidelines.
Neither side regarded the victims as actual victims.

I've talked with several ex-Firewalk devs who put a lot of themselves into that project. I'm glad their work has a chance to be seen.

Shame we don't have some kind of Amendment process or Elastic Clause by which we could add that language to the document...

If I had a time machine, I'd go back to the framers and tell them to include this line in the Constitution:
"Any Congress that fails to perform their duties, thereby forcing the federal government to shut down, shall see all its members be immediately and permanently disqualified from re-election."
