Hey @eepy.bsky.social my first #gardening post of the Southern Hemisphere spring! I lifted one single sod from the potato patch and my word, it delivered!

The anti war rally in 2003 was pretty damn big, but so glad this movement is growing.

I get to drive the car once a week or so, and it's the only way I can listen to Double J. So I voted in yet another hottest 100.
I could have picked a dozen songs from a dozen artists, but this is a good life history soundtrack.

Much of this is 70 km/h road with limited shoulder, but the north-south spine follows the old Upper Darling Range Railway.

How it started, how it's going.
I plant trees for the shade I may never enjoy.
But so far this one's got a good head start.
Workplace EV charging has finally been installed.
If you don't get active for change, it won't happen.

It looks like this. Perth Hills in March 2024.

Seems appropriate...

2 cubic metres of blended manure. Should do wonders for the vegetable garden, but it would have been nicer for the neighbours it they hadn't delivered it on a warm Monday... 💩💩💩 hope to move the rest of it tomorrow afternoon. 🌱

This is an Eastern Brown Snake from Australia. We call the young ones danger noodles, or nope ropes. They eat rats, mice, small marsupials and prefer drier areas. They are the world's second-most venomous snake, and Australia's most common garden snake. Best you leave them right alone!

Starting my planet-slaying trip from Perth to Sydney to attend Everything Electric Australia. Yes, I am aware of the irony thanks for pointing it out.
Bus and train either side of the flights at least.

I love a good Simpsons meme, but spotted this one and thought it's pretty relevant today...

Guavas are red, Agapanthus are blue. I'm drinking a beer in the garden, how about you?

Well that's a shame. I think Greg is one of the best accounts to follow. I didn't even Stan the guy!

It's so wonderful to have aircon again after three long hot summers without it.
Image 1 is just a double glazed home, image 2 is a double glazed home with aircon.
Only 6 more weeks of this weather, but at least the aircon is in.

Hey @kiwiev.bsky.social some worthwhile progress to report - Leaf motor is mounted in the CRX!

Last batch of sauce for the summer. The crappy preserving jars I bought don't seal properly - two jars exploded in the pressure cooker and most of the rest never sealed 🥺. They are sterile at least, just easily prone to spoil if too much air gets in. Hence the cling-film.
