We explored how gen AI visually depicts common psychiatric diagnoses. Many of these AI-generated images reflect harmful stereotypes, cultural biases, and outdated visual tropes. AI is increasingly shaping public perceptions of mental health and these biases can perpetuate stigma and misinformation.
