General Surgery Registrar & PhD Student from Aotearoa New Zealand. Interests in GI, vascular, and transplant surgery, perioperative care, ‘failure to rescue’, and collaborative research.

Dangerously addicted to good coffee, working hard, and dad jokes.
I had the honour of both working for and looking after Dr Legget as a house officer at Auckland Hospital.

Glad to see him posthumously recognised in the New Years Honours. A truly remarkable man.

Always good to hear Dr Chris Varghese speak, this time an update on the impressive work of Australasian collaborative research with >35 publications so far. Persisting challenges are a paucity of clinical academic training tracks, geographic dispersion, and (😤) ethics. #NAASC24
