After much persistence Vrbo refunded the full amount. Revolut just dug their heels in and said 'not our problem, guv'.
Anyway...all sorted finally.

It's more about Vrbo/Expedia's demand for details from Revolut about the scam and Revolut's unwillingness to help with simple requests. It's like banging your head on two brick walls.

I've had an issue with Revolut and Vrbo/Expedia. It's Kafkaesque, the way they obfuscate between the two of them. I just want to speak to a human at Revolut, but nothing doing. Crazy. I've lost €8k to a holiday home rental scam and both of them are being impossible to deal with.
