They are a shining star of the resistance, and the people in power are trying to tarnish them with the same brush. Don't believe it. Stand WITH the NPS.

So did I! Had to go back after I saw your comment to double check that wasn't what it said! 🤣

This made me laugh be cause Hely is definitely petty enough to do that to Helena. 🤣

Ah, I was going to post this one! It's my go-to, when the world is shit and I need to smile, movie!

Yes, I used it as my seminal ergodic text (especially as it's the documented inspiration for http) in stating its closed labyrinth of 3 potential readings under the illusion of an open one...this was important to my overall view of modern ergodic books and their use of multi-layered readings

I worked off the concept of labyrinthine narratives in ergodic literature but had to do a bit of back study into labyrinths in mythology and ancient practice (and as literal structures) before working forward to talk about Pale Fire, Skyrim, House of Leaves and Doug Dorst's S.

This is the spin-off we all need.

Oooh, @bsky.app did again...we should talk! I did a large portion (like 4 chapters) of my PhD on labyrinths in cultural media, specifically literature and video games. Would love to talk to someone else about it (as I, too, nerd out a bit too much for others about it...)

I randomly started watching it summer of last year because it sounded very Black Mirror but was not prepared for how much I love it. Especially now with S2. Yesterday's episode had me the whole time. I can't express how much I love this show.

That's an accurate view, especially after the most recent S2 episode. 🤣

I was too young to appreciate Strangers with Candy when it first came out, but now I'm 40, I find it amazing...

I love this show so much but I can't explain it to anyone because it just sounds ridiculous on paper.
But it is truly amazing.

My Threads felt like a cross between LinkedIn-level BS and people literally begging for engagement/connection, so while it might be more active, the content is vapid compared to here.

I really enjoyed this film. I had no idea what to expect but was fascinated with it the whole time. The level of acting skill Hardy has to literally carry the entire film...I finished with more respect for him as an actor.

It's a much safer space. Like, I've seen some more conservative posts than I thought would exist but they're so much more...thought out and kinder than the other platforms. I feel free to speak my mind here vs the other platforms.
