One of the best things my advisor did was, when I had a crazy idea about something, he said "I don't know, go figure it out." And now that's the main idea of my first paper. He may have been harsh in his criticism but he is able to say "I don't know, let's find out."

I'd want some sort of corvid. Those birds are smart and could help me do things. Also, crows and ravens are just dope looking birds.
