Same way people don't know what RC does and where their money goes. RC sucks at communicating.

I mean, it sounds like the original authors left it in the care of RC. Doesn't sound like he's _now_ giving it to them, it sounds like it was always theirs.

But it also probably doesn't matter anymore. The gem is now with the Ruby core team and that's probably the best place for it.
