I don’t know. I’m not going to bash the b-schools. I do question the systems in place though that lead to these behaviors. Should we punish the profs? Maybe…But perhaps b-school reform on defining performance and prestige needs transformation? Maybe that’s what can come of this. My two cents.

Not to mention, maybe these alleged fraudulent behaviors are LEARNED from trusted mentors and superiors? Well, then that just perpetuates the cycle. Also, folks benefit from the system that produces these behaviors. So what are we left with? (4/?)

When you have new TT profs in top tier b-schools who’s pubs in only “prestigious” journals count (as one example), they may feel pressured for any number of reasons to engage in misconduct (3/?)

Does this mean all business school psych research is f*cked? No. But we do need to recognize that at many b-schools, reputation and prestige IS THE NAME OF THE GAME. These systems have the capacity to open the door to these behaviors. (2/?)
