Posting as Bremerton's First Friday Art Walk is this week 🐿️

I'll have the graphite squirrel drawing shown here up at Rimbert Illustration by @daniellerimbert.bsky.social, on Callow Ave, 5-8:30 PM.

It is based on the poem "Observe" by Jane Nelson for Ars Poetica ❤️

Happy #WorldWhaleDay 🐳 I drew this icon of an Orca as one of several themed on Central Kitsap County, and they are all shown in a series of little double sided accordion books I've made.

A Winter Morning
We got an inch or so of snow overnight which helped create this unique light. It was extremely still and the water was very calm except for the ripples caused by the birds.

#TBT since Art & Science are both important.

Seattle's #BurkeMuseum has a great show up called "Rare Air: Connecting with Species of Flight." It was great to do #urbansketching at this exhibit. Please visit & find out ways to help flying animals 🌎

#Throwback to a comics character post from January 2021, originally insomnia inspired. Not quite fully there now, but, fell asleep unexpectedly/now awake at what should be a proper bedtime. A bit hard to properly rest of late.

Excited to see so many familiar faces joining BlueSky! It's scary to rely on social media to share public events and spaces, especially when the overlords are behaving badly. We love building the Bremerton &zine community so we can stay connected.

In this cold weather, a fun thing to do for kids and adults is to bring some trees indoors. Take cuttings of small branches, put them in a warm place in some water, and watch what happens. Some trees will do nothing, but many, especially the early-flowering trees, are eager to show their stuff.
