This is so cool and would make an excellent fidget toy. Maybe a hinge piece with a rubber band or spring to pull it back into place? Think a seesaw so you have a little nub or flat disk behind the fulcrum to use your finger to pull or push the jaw open with the rubber or spring to close it back.
