100%! My mom read to me every night and my grandma recorded herself reading the Twits by Roald Dahl so I could hear her voice and follow along in the book even though we lived far away. The benefit to children being read to is immeasurable

Spend the entire day without spending money and take home a bunch of free resources if you fancy. Join a free event and don’t be lonely and isolated at home. Amazing institution that would never happen again if they didn’t already exist.

My library started passport services earlier this year and it has been so popular with families! One of many benefits for a community.

Accurate 👏👏👏 I’m a librarian so I know. I have worked with a lot of folks who’ve had strokes or brain injuries and can’t follow text on a page anymore but love audiobooks and being read to. Many of us learned to read that way. Not to mention the oral tradition of storytelling.

Has anyone else listened to Androgynous by the Replacements recently? That shit was 1983. Imagine seeing that performed at the CC club back then. This is not new.
