I wish they lived as long as us. My best buddy Pedro lived with me from about 4 weeks until he was 17. I was his Mom and bottle fed him. Losing him was devastating. I miss his little face. He always sat vigil with me when I was sick.

This is a difficult time for people who do equity work, but we must be undeterred and focused. Fighting for human rights and a just and equitable society has never been easy. We must persist. Rest and regroup, but don’t give up. There is too much at stake to cede ground. We can’t lose hope.

I agree with Chairman Fred Hampton. I wish the government had not murdered him. He was wise beyond his years. He was a revolutionary. The US government was afraid of him so they killed him in his own home. #Resist #Solidarity #MakeThisAllDifferent

Solidarity means your struggle is my struggle. I will not be safe and free until you are safe and free. My future is tied to your future. Individualism hurts everyone.

I voted for @VP today. The room was filled with women poll workers. They had free home baked cookies. I declined the cookies so one of them popped up and said they offered hugs too. She gives a really good hug. Mia got one too. She had no idea how I voted. She just gave hugs. 🫂

My legacy will be having raised three children who are kind and loving - not just to me but to strangers. I do not care where they learn or work, how much they earn, or what people think of them/us. I care that they choose love and respect for humanity. Every time. I am blessed.

My daughter knew she wanted to be a nurse as a child. She helped deliver my son (hands on) when she was 8. I used to take her to work with me in the ED sometimes. Don’t judge me 😂. It is so cool that I get to travel and attend nursing conferences with her. #FutureDNP
