Done. First of my Gitmob Sunstealah Wheelah is finished. Trying to embrace "good enough" over obsessing over every detail.

Also, I spent all summer trying to get a photo of a frog on a lilypad and, friend, it happened!

This one. Her name is Doug.

Work-in-Progress Wednesday: Slowly painting up my Gitmob Spearhead and boy howdy are these chariots tricky. Really happy with the base, though.

The St. Michaels Smart Buoy is back in the water and logging. Repairs took forever thanks to the tariffs and the end of the de minimus exemption. A $20 chip took 6 weeks to clear customs. Ugh.

And I get to wear my geekiest aloha shirt.

One really nice advantage on the Heroes of the Borderland Starter Set is that it dramatically reduces the amount of stuff I haul over to run Library D&D night.

This chicken.

She tests me.

So, because I run our county library system's monthly Dungeons and Dragons night, which we always try to keep vaguely book themed (thank you Candlekeep Mysteries!) I spun up a little adventure add on for the starter set that has the party tracking down a lost library of Forbidden Grimoires.

I'm really proud of the little zines we made for this adventure. They add a whole extra layer of immersion. Way more fun than saying "you found a spellbook that contains Find Familiar."

Plus, you really want to find out what Toon Time is.

The Sierra Club National Marine Team presents:
The Science, Policy, and Cultural Implications of Deep Sea Mining

This is going to be a great talk. Any chance to sit down with Uncle Sol is an opportunity I wouldn't miss. @arlohemphill.bsky.social is cool, too.

Ten "Forbidden Grimoires" for my library kids to discover as they set out for the Borderlands in our monthly D&D campaign. Why hunt for treasure when you can rescue banned books?

I'll post the adventure on DMG sometime this week for anyone interested in checking it out.

Maxed out my large format printer for this very fun little project of mine.

First form printed. Now to go visit my friendly local blacksmith to do some bronze casting.

For the Deep Sea. From the Deep Sea. The Abyssal Blade.

Ending your all ex-Amish band's two hour set with War Pigs is a hell of a way to close a show.
October 18, 2025 at 1:58 AM
Update: we found each other.
October 18, 2025 at 1:32 AM
Because why wouldn't you just bring a whole wedding party on stage mid-set?

Amazing.
October 18, 2025 at 1:30 AM
Just a hard hitting cover band made up of ex-Amish rockers playing to a multigenerational audience in the heart of Maryland.

This is the present liberals want.

Spent most of the day working on getting my buoy back in action.

Hopefully it'll be back out in the gut this weekend.
