I think he's saying you should temper your expectations. It's unlikely push back at town halls will save the republic, despite all the good it does pushing back against normalization.

I think ai is okay for technical writing if you don't want to turn a list of bullet points into a legible email, but it has no place in creative writing.
Honestly, it uses way too much energy for that to be a practical use, but humans are gonna human.

It's complicated. It's useful for kids who aren't getting what they need from other forms of schooling and who have parents willing and capable of giving them the tools to survive, but I have second hand experience of it being used to control children and isolate them, which seems to be the norm.
