* The top 20 films ranked by each demo group’s share of opening wknd, domestic box office included fewer movies that were ranked #1 among BIPOC, women, and 18- to 34-year-olds in 2024 as compared to 2023. This suggests that these groups were not coming out in droves to see just any generic film./10

* In a survey of tix buyers in 2024, BIPOC moviegoers who are 18-34 years old appear to be pillars of the moviegoing market.
* Among young female moviegoers, women of color, particularly Latinas, are key to driving ticket sales. 8/
