Europeans are wondering why more Americans aren’t protesting Trump’s craziness. I think it’s bc Americans can’t afford to. We don’t have time off and social protections like Europe. If we take time off to protest and something happens, we’re financially fucked.

The Legend of Korra did Lin so unbelievably dirty. Sure she is flawed but she was painted as the villain for basically everything because the people who were supposed to love her most wronged her and nobody ever apologized to her. They just told her to let it go. AND SHE STILL SHOWED UP FOR THEM

I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.

She now works in random conservative media. We lost a good talent to the other side. I hate that she’s doing conservative media but hey I understand they’re the only ones hiring her now and she’s gotta pay bills. And she’ll stay there bc progressive spaces don’t have community for her anymore

Hot take but the Broadway community didn’t need to be that harsh to Laura Osnes during COVID. Yes, her anti-vax views are definitely wrong. But as far as her coworkers, she did the right thing of taking initiative to withdraw from all productions requiring vaccines. It’s a shame she was canceled.

So much to celebrate today. I can’t give the details. But I am so relieved. Long story short, my fiance and I resolved a personal issue and we are good again. His legal issues are still ongoing but there is hope. And he and I will be getting married in a few months :)

On the bright side, me planning ahead means that I am healing. My type A personality was hampered a long time by depression. I am coming back to being excited about planning the future and setting myself up to succeed long term.

Maybe it’s silly to think about Christmas gifts now but tbh if I am handmaking anything nice my procrastinator self needs a longggg time to finish anything. Plus, my fiance’s family is bigger than mine so gotta plan way ahead 😭

I am getting a little nervous of Trump’s tariffs and other economic bs specifically that will affect me. I’m not afraid of losing any necessities, thank God, but maybe it’s better to scale back spending. Not that I spend a lot anyway but still. Maybe less money for Christmas gifts this year.

One of the things that irritates me a lot in American culture is this belief that more choice is better. Especially when it comes to issues like vaccines and homeschooling. It’s often just dumb white people doing harmful shit to their children and everyone else and justifying it with “freedom”
