Courage, kindness, love and loss. Two hundred stories as part of an exhibition featuring the outstanding work of Swansea RNLI at Swansea Museum. I am in awe of the women and men who have sacrificed their lives at sea to protect others.

“My childhood landscape was not land but the end of the land: the cold salt running hills of the Atlantic. I sometimes think it is the clearest thing I own” (Sylvia Plath). Since I first discovered Achill as a child, this island has been my home. I feel so privileged to live in this stunning place.
