depends where you live, the lib dem vote is the most efficiently distributed in the country. if you live in a lib dem seat and switch to the greens there's every chance you let in a tory.

here's an example (one of many such seats in the sw of england)
2024 UK general election result in the constituency of Tiverton and Minehead showing the lib dems winning with 38.6% of the vote and the tories coming second with 31.2% of the vote.

B2 Descriptors calibrated at Level B2 represent quite a break with the content so far. For example at the lower end of the band there is a focus on effective argument: account for and sustain his opinions in discussion by providing relevant explanations, arguments and comments; explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options; develop an argument giving reasons in support of or against a particular point of view; take an active part in informal discussion in familiar contexts, commenting, putting point of view clearly, evaluating alternative proposals and making and responding to hypotheses. Secondly, running right through the level there are two new focuses. The first is being able to more than hold your own in social discourse: e.g. understand in detail what is said to him/her in the standard spoken language even in a noisy environment; initiate discourse, take his turn when appropriate and end conversation when he/she needs to, though he/she may not always do this elegantly; interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without imposing strain on either party. The second new focus is a new degree of language awareness: correct mistakes if they have led to misunderstandings; make a note of “favourite mistakes” and consciously monitor speech for it/them; generally correct slips and errors if he/she becomes conscious of them

Petition Grant the vote for London Mayor to all UK Residents Only people who live in Greater London are allowed to vote for candidates in the Mayoral elections. We think London carries so much influence across the globe and the majority of UK residents have no say as to who 'heads up' and manages our great city, and we should. London belongs to us all. More details We believe London, our Capital City, is different to every other city in the country and belongs to every man, woman and child throughout the UK. It is our largest city and is one of the most influential cities across the globe. As such, we think all UK residents should have a say as to who holds the position of Chief Executive of the Greater London Authority. When it comes to voting for our London Mayor I would like Parliament to allow all eligible UK residents to be able to vote, not just Londoners.

hey so culture secretary why don't we just add a photo to our NI numbers instead of inventing a whole new ID system?!?
Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said earlier that your National Insurance number - which shows your right to work in the UK - will no longer be sufficient to prove your right to work in the UK. Employers will need to see your digital ID. Asked what difference this will make, Nandy says "it's a much more rigid system." The culture secretary argues that because your NI isn't linked to any kind of photo ID, it's easier to pass off someone else's NI as your own.
