Spent a fantastic morning yesterday at the #DundeeDesignFestival. So many highlights, but I did find myself drawn to the many innovative chairs showing the links with traditional crafts and biodiversity

Its deceptively complex compound angles reflect the form and proportions of the traditional chairs. The mid-height, gently curved back is of Shetland Aets straw. Its form is evocative of the traditional small straw baskets made in Orkney and Shetland, known as cubbies.”
