This is not as far away as we think. In the coming Thielocracy there will be no formal slavery. It will be more like a contractual "option" to payback you debts from having fancy things like "healthcare" and "education" with the possibility to extend the contract to your children.

Judiciary and Parlament have no hard power. It is soft power by tradition, due process and opportunity cost inflicted. Every government that misuses power and abandons institutional and constitutional rules has one and only one power that can compete and that is the street and the people.

His logic is quite simple and in this case even reasonable. If you're a fascist then everybody that is against you is Antifa. As the US as a people voted him as president there's even "democratic" legitimacy. Congrats you now have an elected "Franco". Better luck with the civil war though.
