I just finished The Murder of Mr. Wickham, which brings characters from all 6 Austen novels together at a house party that turns into a murder mystery.

At Teaching the Teachers, we educate on this. And talk about what the science actually says--that student learning improves when students learn via multiple modalities (a concept called dual coding), not when the modality matches their preferences. /3

As librarians and educators, we have a responsibility not to push forward neuromyths, even if they are super common. We need to be a proponent of evidence-based teaching and learning. /2
