Patriots fan attempting to be a voice of reason:

- Mayo isn't throwing his players under the bus
- The Browns aren't paying AVP's salary
- Kraft isn't hoarding cap space to line his pockets, that's not how the cap works
- Don't listen to the radio douches
Pinned
My biggest hope with Bluesky is that I can type the word "Patriots" in the search bar and actually get posts about the New England Patriots again
Can y’all shut up about firing Mayo now? The only opinions that should matter are the ones from inside the building. If the players think they’re letting the coaches down and not vice versa, fans aren’t qualified to claim they’re wrong

If the Bills had run the Tush Push on their first play from the goal line instead of a regular QB sneak they probably wouldn’t have had to burn a timeout and would’ve had a chance to get the ball back at the end

After last night's Oregon/Penn State game, it's Tet McMillain/Abdul Carter or bust for the Pats draft. That dude is a freak and would solve the Patriots' mobile QB issue immediately

I don’t think there’s a college coach I like less than Kirby Smart

Cam Skattebo might have the most fitting name for a RB in the history of football

I’m convinced the people sharing that Kerby Joseph video never watched Gronk play football. That was how every single DB tried to tackle him every single play throughout his entire career. Unless you’re willing to say every DB in the league at the time was dirty, that clip proves absolutely nothing

Also money spent on the facility has nothing to do with money spent on players, they're completely different buckets.
Hopefully the new practice facility starts to shed light on the fact that the "Kraft is cheap narrative" is beyond stupid. He's always been willing to spend money, it just hasn't always worked out. The 2021 FA class was expensive as hell, it just didn't work out very well.

@tkyles39.bsky.social did you see anything in the all-22 that clarifies the illegal formation call against Pop on the Bourne TD? It looked like a pretty routine motion where no one else moved when I was watching at home. It didn’t really matter because they scored on the next play, but it seemed odd

To add onto this, if you call Mayo, who was an 8 year NFL vet who captained some of the best defenses in the Patriots' Dynasty Era, a "DEI hire" you're a monumental piece of shit
The “fire Mayo” people need to stop whining so much. They didn’t win this game, but without a shanked 25 yard FG/a wild tipped INT (not Mayo’s fault) they would’ve won this game. They looked great offensively, and had a few jaw dropping defensive plays. Short of a win, what more do you people want?

"MaYo HaSnT MaDe AnY aDjUsTmEnTs" - someone sitting on their couch while watching a TV broadcast that doesn't show you enough of the field to know what most defensive playcalls actually are. Unless you're analyzing the all-22 and making opinions from that, you don't know what you're talking about

I'm starting to get really frustrated by how some of the Patriots reporters cover this team. They're clearly playing into the storylines the fans push in order to boost their engagement. If that's how you cover a football team, you don't deserve media credentials 🤷‍♂️

I’m so tired of people saying the Patriots messed up by not drafting Ladd McConkey. McConkey would’ve been a redundant addition with DeMario Douglas. Unless you’re willing to give up on Pop, it wouldn’t have made sense from a roster construction standpoint to draft McConkey.

Planting flags in rivalry games, fair game. Fighting players for planting a flag on your field, also fair game. Fighting equipment managers and trainers after losing a rivalry game, absolute shithead move.

Why is everyone talking about Travis Hunter securing the Heisman today after scoring his 3rd TD in the 4th quarter while up 45-0 when Ashton Jeanty just ran for 226 against a better team? Travis Hunter is generational but it’s glaringly obvious that Deion kept his starters in to pad their stats

Maye's game is much closer to Justin Herbert than it is to Josh Allen and I mean that as a compliment. People have forgotten how good a healthy Herbert is, he played through limiting injuries for 3 straight seasons. Josh Allen is a top 3 QB in but his game isn't replicable unless you're 6'5" 240lb

Normalize including the question asked when posting answers from player/coach press conferences. The false narratives that come from a lack of context on clips have gotten ridiculous for every team across all sports leagues
November 26, 2024 at 1:48 AM
Remember when people were cautioning Patriots fans against comparing Mac Jones to Tom Brady because it wasn't fair to Mac? Why aren't we giving Mayo the same treatment? Is being the guy after THE guy only a problem for quarterbacks? Belichick in Year 24>Mayo in Year 1, is that surprising to anyone?
November 25, 2024 at 5:47 PM
To the Patriots fans calling for Mayo’s job 12 games into his HC career. I promise you, the last thing the Patriots need with their stud quarterback is to create a reputation of impatience with coaching. No quality HC/OC/DC candidate will ever want to come to NE if they fire Mayo after 1 season
November 25, 2024 at 3:29 PM
Jerod Mayo took accountability for the mistakes today, but of course people are only going to share the one quote (out of context) that makes it seem like he isn't. Pats fans need to stop being such whiny bitches and accept this isn't a good team and your expectations were unrealistic for this year
November 25, 2024 at 2:58 AM
This offseason the "Kraft is cheap" crowd better be as loud with their apologies as they are with their complaints. AVP isn't being paid by the Browns. There weren't elite FAs this past offseason that fit with the team's needs/timeline. Relax and let them build properly instead of just complaining

I've been a very vocal member of Team WR for the draft this year but that dream is shattering before my eyes during this game. Vederian Lowe and Demontrey Jacobs are nothing short of an abject disaster and they're bringing the entire offense down with them
November 24, 2024 at 8:19 PM
People are going to blame Mayo for the disaster that this game has become and a lot of it is merited. But Lowe and Demontrey Jacobs are single handedly ending every single Patriots drive. It's hard to coach well when every set of downs (not drives, individual sets of downs) starts behind the chains
November 24, 2024 at 7:37 PM
If you're arguing that Alex Van Pelt is a bad coach because he didn't know a player played 18 career offensive snaps, all of which were in 2022, then you're going out of your way to be miserable. I wonder how much JJ Taylor (17 snaps in 2022) tape AVP was watching to prepare for this season...
