Another painting from a photograph posted by @yredknap.bsky.social This time it's Bled castle in Slovenia. I don't think my painting has done it justice, but it's such a beautiful place.

Here's my November picture from this year's calendar.

This may be the final art group watercolour for a while, I’ve taken a break from the group. This one is just in time for Halloween on Friday; I wasn’t going to post it until then., but I noticed a lot of people changing their profile pictures on Facebook to a Halloween theme so here it is.

Bought it, got it, read it, it's brilliant, adds some light to a very bleak year. Keep up the good work.

@yredknap.bsky.social I've finished my painting of Saint Paul de Vence. Thanks for sharing the original photograph and allowing me to paint it. I hope I've done it some justice. I know I like it.

Is it time to take a leaf from the American protestors playbook?

I've never been there, but I did paint this from a book by Terry Harrison

Art group watercolour. This is what happens when you make the wrong choice of paper, I should have used rough or NOT instead of HP, but at least it’s bright and colourful.

I'm up to 8 paintings for my 2026 calendar now, so I'm hopeful that I might finish it in time for the new year. This is a painting I did from a photograph I took at Hare Hill some years ago now.

I didn’t manage to create 12 paintings for this year’s calendar, so for October I added a picture of a beautiful sunrise from my window. The Welsh word for October is Hydref, which is also the Welsh word for autumn. I’m still looking for an autumnal scene to paint for my 2026 calendar

Another painting for my 2026 calendar, assuming I can actually complete 12! Arlington Court, on the edge of Exmoor in Devon, is the home of the National Trust Carriage Museum.

Art Group watercolour. Ruined Castle - good from far, far from good. I hope that seeing these Art Group paintings inspire you to give them a go.

Art Group Watercolour - Red Mushrooms. I enjoyed doing this one, quick and easy and I’m satisfied with the results. Why don’t you give it a go and share your results?

A Facebook friend and former colleague posted a photo of her little dog, Popcorn. As a break from watercolour I occasionally like to draw with coloured pencils.

Art Group Watercolour - Sunset. Someone captured this view from their TV screen and thought it might make a nice painting, so I’ve given it my best shot.

New Watercolour: Gawthorpe Hall National Trust property.

Art Group Watercolour 10. Although they’re unlikely to be framed or displayed, I do learn a lot from these exercises and the group are good company and offer each other constructive advice and encouragement.

I did this in a craft class on Tuesday, and now it's back from being fused. I'm quite pleased with the result.

Latest Art Group Watercolour. This was a lot more complicated than I expected, but I think I’m satisfied with it.

This is the final painting from my summer painting holiday in Selby, Yorkshire. I'll have to find more inspiration if I'm going to complete 12 pictures.
