Corporate Dems will never upset the apple cart that feeds them. We need alternatives

Same reason Brasil is “Brazil” to Americans - we’re either too arrogant or too stupid to adapt as the world evolves

To be fair, I don’t think you can abandon something you never actually supported or cared about in the first place

Exactly! These are Americans doing this shit. This bigot patrol was born of 50 years of prep from the war on drugs to the war on terror. We've done this before to Japanese-Americans, black Americans, and anyone else not white and rich enough for ages. We need to own it if we are ever to fix it.

It’s interesting that almost everyone I know specifies the difference when talking about the American people and our government. It’s like we’ve always known how corrupt it is and we are desperate to differentiate ourselves from it.

And it wasn’t just “a couple buildings” but I think you already knew that and were looking for a rise. For me- That’s the that’s disrespectful part - using those families’ pain as a cheap shot on socials

When 2 factions in a play do battle, they share the common goal of keeping seats filled show after show. It does not matter to the theater operator whether Capulets or Montagues prevail, as long as the audience is willing to keep the show running. We should consider withdrawing our support.

Yeah I’m not on tik tok and have mostly divested from Meta because they shadow banned me for posting PG lesbian art. So admittedly may be missing some volume there

I really haven’t. I’ve seen a lot of people talking about gerrymandering and historical racism. We have to figure out how to get a majority of people to the table to make a path forward (we’ll never get the fringes of either side).

I haven’t seen urban people laughing at the suffering of rural people. I have personally read quite a lot of posts where conservative folks cheer as queer folks and BIPoC lose their jobs, their housing, and their sense of peace and safety. Just my personal observations.
