College prof, soccer coach, sports fan, music lover, liberal. The world went to hell when David Bowie died.🤷🏼‍♂️
I agree with that.👍

Yeah, but she needs to make up 22 points, not 16 or 17.
December 3, 2025 at 1:44 AM
She needs a larger volume of votes than that from Nashville, doesn’t she? Seems like she’s just coming up short by a few points overall.
December 3, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Nah. They’re all in on it. No way 8 Senators who all happen to be over 65 and not up for election in 2026 are acting independently on this. It’s a set up. The Dems caved, and the entire leadership needs to be purged and replaced with people who actually care about Americans. This is disgrace.
November 10, 2025 at 3:50 AM
This is disgraceful. You had the upper hand and you caved, and all for nothing. You’ve handed victory to the GOP. What on earth was the point of any of this? The Dems complete ineptitude at mounting a meaningful opposition is why we are here in the first place! You should be ashamed.🙄
November 10, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Then you don’t give in. The end game was a CR that also extended the ACA credits. It was doable. The pressure was all on the GOP and Trump, and the Dems handed them the win. It’s beyond stupid. What was the point of the shutdown? I hope anyone who votes for this gets primaries and loses badly.
November 10, 2025 at 2:49 AM
You asked what winning would look like. Saving the credits is what winning looks like. Standing up to MAGA is what winning looks like. The elections proved it.
Caving now is not winning. It’s handing victory to the GOP. More people blame Trump than Dems for the shutdown. They were winning.🤷🏼‍♂️
November 10, 2025 at 1:39 AM
This is a joke. You got a promise for a vote? That’s it? You CAVED!!
How can a political party in this environment be so inept. Trump and MAGA are appalling, and the Dems’ complete inability to read the room and mount any sort of viable opposition is why we are where we are. You are failing us!😞🙄
November 10, 2025 at 1:27 AM
And the power was gained in momentum and enthusiasm. It showed that people are moving in the Dems’ direction. If they saved the ACA credits, that would have been a win, and even more momentum. Instead, they’ve clearly lost, and given the GOP a huge talking point.

Prop 50 isn’t of consequence? Controlling the PA Supreme Court isn’t of consequence? Eliminating the super majority in Mississippi isn’t of consequence? All of those impact the federal government and elections for the federal government.🤷🏼‍♂️
November 10, 2025 at 1:18 AM
They showed how it’s possible to win. They won pretty much every election held last week! A win here would have been a CR with an extension of the ACA credits. It’s not hard. They were winning, and they handed the victory to Trump.🤷🏼‍♂️

How on Earth is recalling Mermis “unexpected”? He was the obvious next guy up in the organization.🤷🏼‍♂️

It’s all just grifting. That’s all this has ever been about.

I love jazz. I listen to jazz a lot. You don’t need to mourn me. I have a terrific life and get to experience far more musical genres and artists than you do, apparently. The loss is yours.
But while entertaining at first, your shtick has gotten a bit boring now. It was fun, though!😂👍😀 Bye!

Congrats! I’m a Zen follower as well. I’ve also had lunch with the Dalai Lama. As far as can tell, Buddhism doesn’t give anyone the ability to judge music without ever listening to it.😂
This has been fun, but time to move on. A beer might be good for you.😂👍
But I absolutely agree on Trump!
October 7, 2025 at 1:56 PM
Thanks for proving my point. Ok Boomer. This has such “old man yelling at clouds” vibes.😂
You’re missing out on some great music. And btw, I grew up with Bowie, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc. But I realize good music is still being made.👍 Have a great day!

It’s pretty obvious Quillan is on the roster purely as a cap move for when they put Laughton on LTIR.
October 6, 2025 at 10:40 PM
And Swift fights misogyny. You haven’t denied that you’ve listened to less than 10% of her output. Some of her material is pure pop, but then the Beatles had plenty of that, as well. I assume you’ve also ignored rap, R&B, techno, etc. Kendrick Lamar is as important as anything from the 70s.
October 6, 2025 at 10:07 PM
Yeah, the thing is, I can all but guarantee you’ve listened to less than 10% of Swift’s recorded output and never seen her perform live, so your comment serves only to make yourself feel superior. The fact you felt the need to comment on this thread says a lot. I’ll stick with more joyful folks.🤷🏼‍♂️🙂
October 5, 2025 at 2:36 PM
I’m not sure you understand the meaning of the word “literally”.🙄
October 5, 2025 at 12:58 PM
Get off your high horse. I find those that criticize what another person finds enjoyable often have a need to feel superior. I’m not a Swift fan, but I recognize her ability to write catchy hooks, quality melodies, and songs people relate to. But I’m sure your tastes are far more refined.🙄
October 5, 2025 at 12:57 PM
Yeah. It’s not. You’ve clearly never actually listened to her albums.🤷🏼‍♂️
October 4, 2025 at 2:31 AM
I agree with that, but they included him, so I’m going with their options. But I agree it’s a completely different signing.👍
August 18, 2025 at 6:30 PM
I love Tavares, but anyone who thinks he was a better free agent signing than Salming just doesn’t know the game.🙄
