AGGHHH im still writing up volkes lore doc but I promise that aaaaaall of that will be in there when I get around to working on it 😔 and of course... volke and zenos will be talked abt in length in the near future 🤌
But this gives me motivation to put more effort into writing so ty!

HONESTLY??? NOTHING. LITERALLY NOTHING. Its like the worst one-sided obsession. Atreus just wants to devour his aether, his very soul. They've wanted to ever since ancient times lol. They think his soul is very pure and thus by devouring it, they would be protecting it inside of their stomach 🫠🫠

atreus wasnt an az/em actually! Volke isnt a shard of az/em... Just a shard of some freak lol. Atreus kidnapped Volke /because/ he was a shard of theirs. They just wanted to use him in order to get to Em/et. They've already inadvertently killed ~5 other shards for the same exact reason 🙃

tysm!!! Yessss I think thats another issue, I put a lot of my lore into threads that most ppl wont go back and read even when I use a tag. Its mostly on me for not organizing it in a more intuitive way but agghhh. Still frustrating

The only reason they dont just smother the soul completely is bc of atreus' lack of control over their magicks. Otherwise they would not need to participate in a tug of war with him 🤷♂️

For once I will provide context!! In simple terms, Atreus possessed this gar/lean before going and taking Volke from his home in Valnain. The original soul sometimes comes out, attempts to regain control, speaks to Atreus, etc. Atreus cares little for this man and his body and does as they please 👍

Like Relko was an oc that is created, started posting her, got an influx of followers bc of it... and then when I dont post her suddenly I dont get any interactions from those same followers. They literally just followed for an oc that looked pretty :///

no ur right! Like if ur ocs arent conventionally attractive or ur not putting out "appealing" poses... it rlly feels alienating being in the community tbh. Im very grateful for the ppl that do care abt my ocs and poses ofc but yknow it does get you feeling down sometimes

Writing little snippets or drawing a doodle of your oc are completely viable ways of sharing lore, but again it gets less attention bc it doesnt have the recognizable imagery of xiv attached to it. Everyone should share oc/wol lore regardless of whether or not g/pose is involved

And I genuinely think its terrible that the sharing of ocs and lore in this fandom is centered almost completely around g/posing. Theres many other means of lore sharing but nobody rlly cares unless theres a g/pose attached to it 🫠
