I take "ownership" for various reasons.
My two main reasons are:
It's important to me is to fulfill my personal goal of making something good out a bad execution at my own pace
and to create a version of the series people can enjoy without relying on JC's original works

i am not my demons. i am not my pain. i am not my intrusive thoughts. i am not my mistakes. ive just learned to make peace with them and know its not my fault theyre there. i no longer feel ashamed to let myself break in front of those who love me, because it means i can be what it heals otherwise.
