Absolutely but until we improve salary and working conditions, people will flock to more lucrative options. We have to fundamentally change how we pay and treat our foundational workers.

I totally agree, influencer culture kinda sucks. I just think it's a function of where our society has assigned value. It's hard to blame any individual or generation for recognizing opportunities with the most upward mobility.

It just so happens that those marketable skills at this point in time are best leveraged on social media. I was a paramedic for 10 years while the shortage was drastically increasing. We could go anywhere with our skills but there was no where we could survive on a single job.

Probably cause they've witnessed how that failed their parents and role models. Millennials have been lambasted for spending so much on education while wages stagnated. They're called lazy while working several jobs to make ends meet and still losing the 'American Dream.'

I'm exhausted. I use it mostly for news and learning things quickly cause it's easier to find a condensed synopsis to figure out what deserves a deep dive. Now we've been handed a Trojan horse and asked to accept their magnanimous gift. 🙄
