I have some friends now irl that share my interests but the past was harsh✌️

talk with anyone also interested in physics, writing, painting, all the fandom nonsense, my favorite books, and so on and so on
My friends did draw but we were never fans of the same things - so we could talk about drawing but not much else
And believe me I tried getting into the same things (2/3??

The anonymity of it all made me feel like I can be social without the risks of an irl friendship
My current friend group at the time was slowly falling apart so I wanted other people who were a bit more stable
Also nobody around shared the same interests as I did so I wasn't really able to (1/2)
