Collins is up for reelection, Murkowski is not. Had it been the other way around, Collins would be a yes. This was a horse trade to protect both of them.

I suspect people are waiting for the final word from Mills. Also Gideon ran a solid campaign and lost to Collins by 9 points. I agree she is vulnerable, especially with the upcoming vote. But whoever takes up the challenge will need a deeply unconventional approach.
