Not a sad attempt at all. It's the TRUTH. This isn't the government's job. It's the people's job. And since we want to bring religion into it, it's the churches' job, since it's the churches actually teaching "Love they neighbor."

It's EXACTLY what a "help their neighbor" person would say. Even Jesus was, "render under Caesar (government) what is Caesar's, and unto God what are God's."
Churches should be kicking government's a$$ in "help thy neighbor," but they aren't. They're hoarding the $$ for themselves.

That's exactly right. He and the CHURCH would feed the hungry and heal the sick, not the government.
