God, I fucking wish Xrd players had the decency to announce a room being disbanded beforehand.

But in Xrd, I do that for a few seconds at a time *while* I'm playing footsies, thinking of meter, trying to read my opponent, and anti-airing.

I was playing online recently, and it occurred to me that the process of blocking mixups in an airdasher is nuanced and deep enough to be the core gameplay loop of its own game.

Silksong is the game of the decade so far because it basically made footsies the core gameplay loop of a fun, expansive metroidvania with beautiful art direction and music.
