I have a theory in maybe Season 4 or 5 of Dragons Rising, once the SD have rekindled and it’s possible that Riyu is the one to do this, the SD thank Riyu for getting them back together, Riyu most likely learns to talk by then, the SD offer Riyu a position as the Source of Balance and he accepts it.

It’s crazy to think that this dragon, the Source Dragon of Balance is actually DEAD! and that Riyu might be heavily implied to have reincarnated to be born as a Mountain Dragon. Wu saying what is lost can now be found probably means this dead dragon just passed his mantle to Riyu.
